Non-Restricted & Restricted PAL Courses

What
do we do

North Island Firearm Safety Courses (NIFSC) offers the Canadian Firearms Safety Course - CFSC - and the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course - CRFSC - in Campbell River and in communities on Vancouver Island and the Islands.

The CFSC and the CRFSC are the first steps students must take in order to get their Possession and Acquisition Licenses. Once they have taken the courses and passed the written and practical exams they may then make application to the RCMP - Canadian Firearms Program for their PALs.

NIFSC will adapt and customize courses for specific clients and organizations to insure our students receive the required training in an efficient and effective format.

We will also take the courses on-the-road and bring CFSC/CRFSC training to groups in your own community where numbers warrant and logistics allow.

To register, send course fee payment via E-Transfer to info@nifsc.ca. We will confirm your registration by email.

Who
should take the course

Possession and Acquisition Licenses (PALs & RPALs) enable you to purchase and use firearms and ammunition for the following purposes:
Hunters require PALs in order to own the rifles and shotguns which they use in their various hunting sports, i.e., big game, upland game birds or waterfowl.
Target shooters require PALs and RPALs in order to use their firearms for target shooting and to participate in the various shooting sports.
Firearms Collectors require PALs and RPALs to purchase firearms and to maintain their collections.
Lawful Professions and Occupations, such as Armoured Car Guards and Professionals and others who are required to work in remote areas where large predators are present may apply for PALs & RPALs in order to carry firearms as part of their duties.
People inheriting firearms require PALs and RPALs in order to acquire inherited non-restricted and restricted firearms.
To register, send course fee payment via E-Transfer to info@nifsc.ca. We will confirm your registration by email.
